Turkmenistan Celebrates New Year with Festive Tree Lighting Ceremony

The highlight of this year’s New Year celebrations in Turkmenistan was the lighting of the main Christmas tree in the capital, Ashgabat.

Father Frost and Snow Maiden’s journey began with a visit to the "Arkach" shopping center, where they interacted with children and fairy-tale characters before heading to various locations, including the "Ylham" alley, the State Circus of Turkmenistan, and the smart city of Arkadag.

The festivities culminated in the lighting of a 44-meter tree at the cultural center "Alem," drawing thousands of people to the square.

The main tree in Ashgabat symbolized the start of the New Year, with trees across the country also illuminated, spreading joy and festive spirit throughout Turkmenistan.
