Turkmenistan celebrates defender of the Fatherland Day

On the occasion of the holiday, ceremonial events are being held across the Turkmenistan. In the capital, the celebrations began with a flower-laying ceremony at the People’s Memory Memorial Complex. Hundreds of officers came to pay tribute to the fallen heroes and to those who continue to serve in military units and other law enforcement bodies.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed a congratulatory message to servicemen and law enforcement officers, noting that in a relatively short historical period the Armed Forces have developed into a powerful army.
