Turkmenistan’s President in Central Asia–Japan Summit

The first-ever summit of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue took place in the Japanese capital. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the event.

During his address, Turkmenistan President noted that the participation of Japanese business in the development of the region should become an unconditional priority. Major Japanese industrial giants such as Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Toyota, Sumitomo, and others have long and successfully operated in the Turkmen economy. Together with them, the country has built major gas-chemical complexes and power plants. President of Turkmenistan emphasized, the time has come to “upgrade” this cooperation.
