The cultivation of Black Sapote also called “Chocolate Fruit” had reached a milestone in Alanya, Turkiye’s central Mediterranean coast. Local producers, who saw their first experimental crops last year, have officially begun the seasonal harvest of this exotic fruit.

Established trial gardens in the Mediterranean region had proven that the chocolate fruit is not only compatible with the local climate but also remarkably resilient. Beyond its unique taste, the fruit is prized for its low sugar content, high Vitamin C levels, and antioxidant properties.
