Turkiye 'optimistic' Middle East ceasefire will be extended says foreign minister

Turkiye said it remains optimistic that a two-week ceasefire between Iran and the United States, set to expire on Wednesday, will be extended to allow additional time for negotiations. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made the remarks at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, stating that an extension would be needed as discussions continue, while noting that some issues still require clarification.

He also referred to regional developments involving Lebanon and Israel in the context of ongoing diplomatic negotiations.
