Turkiye envoy praises Sri Lanka’s potential

Sri Lanka has the potential to emerge as a high-performing nation in the global arena by focusing on innovation and sectors where it holds a natural edge, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Sri Lanka, Semih Lütfü Turgut, said. The Ambassador noted that many of the world’s most remarkable success stories come from countries that “punch above their weight” by strategically leveraging their comparative advantages.

He said “innovation is the multiplier and it allows small nations to amplify their strengths,” adding that Sri Lanka’s strategic geographic location, rich cultural heritage, and growing entrepreneurial energy place it in a strong position to craft its own breakthrough growth story.
