Turkiye Eastern region covered heavy snowfall

Heavy snowfall has had an impact in the inland and eastern parts of Türkiye, turning cities white and mobilizing municipal teams. In Yozgat, cleaning operations were initiated in streets covered with snow. While disruptions occurred in traffic and daily life, residents welcomed the precipitation as a relief from the drought.

In Bingöl’s Karlıova district, the snow depth exceeded 20 centimeters, causing difficulties for local shopkeepers. Meanwhile, in Tunceli, Van, and Kars, special administration and highway teams made intensive efforts to clear the roads.
