Turkiye celebrates Democracy & National Unity Day commemorations

As part of the July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day commemorations, various events and memorial ceremonies were held across different provinces in Turkiye.

The day is commemorated with events honouring those who lost their lives while defeating the failed coup of 2016 and to remember the bravery of the nation. Martyrs’ cemeteries were visited, carnations were placed on the graves of the fallen, and prayers were recited along with readings from the Quran. In mosques as well, prayers were offered for all martyrs.
