Turkiye’s Isparta globalizes with rose oil, cut flower industry. The city is well known for the sweet smell of the roses that grow in its fields. The area is known as the ‘land of roses’, and despite feeling the effects of the climate crisis this year, its rose oil industry is continuing to adapt and grow. Isparta makes up 65 percent of the world’s rose oil production and the rose cultivated in Isparta is exported to 15 countries, most notably, France, the U.S., Canada, Japan and Saudi Arabia.
