Turkish Foreign Minister -Syria statements

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that Türkiye fully supports the January 18 Agreement reached in Syria, emphasizing that its implementation is crucial for regional stability.

Expressing deep concern over the resurgence of “ISIS games,” Fidan noted that the terrorist organization SDF is attempting to use the terrorist organization ISIS as a bargaining chip. He reiterated that Türkiye remains at the forefront of the fight against ISIS and is cooperating closely with the new Syrian administration.

Additionally, Fidan confirmed meeting with Syrian Special Representative Ton Barack to discuss these developments.
