Turkish and Egyptian FMs meet in Cairo

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in Cairo. The ministers discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues.

Saturday's trip was the first such high-level trip by a Turkish foreign minister to the African country in more than a decade. Egypt’s foreign ministry said the visit would be a step in “restoring normal relations between the two countries.”
