Trump to visit three Middle Eastern countries in May

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a news conference on Tuesday that Trump will travel to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates from May 13 to May 16. It will be his second foreign trip since returning to office, following his planned attendance at the Vatican for Pope Francis's funeral on Saturday.

Discussions there are expected to include the situation in Ukraine, as Saudi Arabia has hosted talks as part of a US-led effort toward a ceasefire between Kyiv and Moscow. The situation in Gaza is also likely to be discussed, as ceasefire talks between Israel and the Islamic group Hamas have stalled. Trump is expected to discuss the topic with leaders in the Middle East during his trip.
