Trump signs executive order on UN Human Rights Council, Memorandum on Iran

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order withdrawing the United States from a number of United Nations bodies, including its Human Rights Council (UNHRC), and setting up a broader review of US funding for the multilateral organization.

Trump also signed a Memorandum reimposing a "maximum pressure" policy of sanctions against Iran, similar to during his first term.

In Addition, he on Tuesday backed a proposal to jail prisoners including American citizens in El Salvador, effectively outsourcing the US prison system, a move offered by that country's president, Nayib Bukele.
