Trump says Zelensky ready for Russia talks

US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky has told him Kyiv was ready for talks with Russia, days after a White House clash.

During an address to Congress, Trump said he had received an important letter from President Zelensky of Ukraine, which mentioned that Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer".
