Trump pleads not guilty to charges of efforts to overturn 2020 election

Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday pleaded not guilty to federal charges against him for plotting to overturn the 2020 presidential election, U.S. media reported.

Trump was arraigned in a federal courthouse in Washington, D.C., on Thursday afternoon, two days after he was formally indicted.It was the third time Trump has pleaded not guilty since April. Trump is the leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination. He has said that he would continue his candidacy even if he is convicted.
