Trump holds first outdoor rally since assassination attempt

US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has held an outdoor campaign rally for the first time since he survived an assassination attempt last month. The former president cancelled outdoor rallies in the wake of the incident for safety reasons.

After obtaining approval from the Secret Service, he appeared on stage at an outdoor venue in North Carolina on Wednesday. Trump criticized the Biden administration, saying Israel would have never been attacked if he had been president. He also referred to comments made by former President Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention the previous day.
