US President Donald Trump has hinted that his administration may take steps on Cuba after military operations in Iran end. Speaking at an event at the White House on Thursday, Trump said the United States wants to finish the operations in Iran first. He also said it would be just a question of time before a lot of people are going back to Cuba.

He told participants of the event that Cuba wants to "make a deal. So badly." The president previously raised the possibility of a "friendly takeover" of the Caribbean island country. The Trump administration has been stepping up pressure on Cuba by cutting oil supplies and tightening economic sanctions.
