Trump claims tariffs will bring record payments to the U.S.

According to Trump, many buyers stocked up on inventory to avoid short-term tariff payments, but those supplies are now running low.

He said this will soon lead to tariffs being paid on “everything,” causing payments to the U.S. to “skyrocket” to record levels. Trump argued that this tariff revenue will strengthen U.S. national security and economic prosperity. He also criticized opponents of the policy, saying they serve foreign interests that do not align with U.S. priorities.
