Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Price

US President Donald Trump has been awarded the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize by FIFA President Gianni Infantino during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Draw ceremony in Washington, D.C. on Friday.

The president said being awarded the prize is “the greatest honor of his life” as he accepted the award, consisting of a medal and a large cup. The prize is given “to reward individuals who have taken exceptional and extraordinary actions for peace and by doing so have united people across the world” per a FIFA statement.
