Trump attends handover of World Cup hosting duties in Qatar

US President Donald Trump together with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended a signing event after a state dinner in Doha. 

The ceremony marks the passing of World Cup hosting duties from Qatar to the United States. The United States is co-hosting the 2026 World Cup with neighboring Canada and Mexico. Trump said he was confident of working closely with Canada and Mexico despite his broiling trade disputes with the two World Cup co-hosts.
