Turkmenistan celebrated its Harvest Festival on a grand scale, an annual tradition marking the end of the agricultural season.

The main festivities unfolded in Ashgabat, along the picturesque bank of the Karakum River (canal). The celebration became a true showcase of culinary traditions and agricultural achievements. Top chefs from all regions prepared around twenty types of national dishes, demonstrating Turkmenistan’s rich gastronomic heritage.

Among them were hearty lamb soup chorba, stuffed cabbage rolls, meat pies gutaby, chebureki, meat pastries, wheat porridge yarma, and of course, the famous Turkmen plov. Exhibitions allowed visitors to explore the achievements of Turkmenistan’s agro-industrial sector. Each region showcased varieties of wheat and cotton adapted to its specific soil and climatic conditions.
