Tree Planting Ceremony: MOEA organizes a ceremony for 2023 monsoon

Ministry of Ethnic Affairs held its Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony 2023 in the compound of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday. Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung, the Permanent Secretary and officials attended the event.

On the occasion, the Union Minister and Deputy Minister planted the saplings commemorating the Monsoon Tree Planting ceremony. The Permanent Secretary, Directors-General, departmental officials and staff also planted the saplings at the designated places.

Then, the Union Minister and party viewed planting of saplings. A total of 169 saplings including GantGaw, star flower, coconut, teak, ironwood, gumkino, Acacia Mangium and other perennial plants were planted during the ceremony.
