Transport Sector Inspection: SAC Member inspects railway upgrade

Member of the Administration Council Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San inspected the upgrading project Phase I of the Yangon-Mandalay railway on Thursday afternoon.

First, the Union minister arrived at the briefing hall of the Bago-Nyaunglaybin section (CP-102) in Pyuntaza Township. The general manager (engineer-admin) and officials from the Myanma Railways explained Phase I of the Yangon-Mandalay Railway upgrading project with the Japanese ODA loan and the progress of work on the Yangon-Toungoo railway section.

The Union Minister also inspected the construction of the platform at Pyuntaza station. Also, he inspected completion of construction of the railway within 30 miles long section between Pyuntaza and Phayagyi and the construction site of bridge No. 116-B.
