Training on youth affairs: MoSYA Union Minister attended opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of knowledge sharing training on GENDER, CEDAW, NSPAW, UNSCR 1325 co-organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Gold Camp in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on July 18 with the attendance of Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, Deputy ministers, Senior officials and officials concerned.

In his opening remark, the Union Minister U Min Thein Zan highlighted the purposes of opening this training, women’s participation in the protection of the interests of the country and the people and taking part in the multi fields of development keeping abreast with the men, the outstanding and role model women in the economic, social, knowledge and intellectual and art fields have turned out. Myanmar National Committee on Women and regional level committees have been formed and the commitments of Myanmar for the women’s development in the ASEAN level are being implemented.

And the Union Minister expressed words of thanks to the department of social welfare which is co-organized this training and giving lectures, posed for the documentary photo and concluded the ceremony.

The training will be given by the 5 instructors from the department of social welfare at the meeting hall of the department of youth affairs in Wunna Theiddi stadium and 30 trainees from the department of youth affairs will attend, it’s learnt.
