The opening ceremony of basic computer training course jointly organized by the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and the Institute of Computer Studies (Sittwe) under the guidance of the Rakhine State Government was held at the U Ottama Hall in Sittwe Township in the morning on 3rd October with the attendance of the Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, Commander of West Command Ma-J Gen. Htin Latt Oo, state chief justice Daw Wah Wah Tun, members of state government, departmental officials, training instructors and trainees and invited guests.
In his opening remark at the ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min said that Myanmar is a union living by 135 national races together. So, the ethnic affair plays a very important role. Only then, all national races enjoy the equal right and equal development, the whole country with the regions and states will receive the development, peace and prosperity. So, the unity of all national races in Rakhine State with the union spirit is specially needed etc.
Next, the state minister for ethnic affairs U Tin Hla clarified the arrangements that have been done to conduct the training course and the pro-rector of the University of Computer Studies (Sittwe) explained the programs to be taught in the training.
Then, the Chief Minister provided 8.35 million Kyats and the Commander Ma-J Gen. Htin Latt Oo presented notebook and stationeries and posed for documentary group photo together with the trainees of national races.
The computer training course will be attended by 40 trainees of national races from the townships of Rakhine State and will be conducted at the training hall of the Institute of Computer Studies (Sittwe) and taken place for a month, it’s reported.
