Training for Handmade Accessories: Aiming to assist poverty eradication

Aiming to create job opportunities and to assist poverty eradication, a Training Course for making handmade accessories is being opened in Monywa Township.

The training course is jointly conducted by the Sagaing Region Youth Affairs Committee and Department of Small Scale Industry (Sagaing) at the Monywa Sports Ground.

Coach, Aung Myint Tun said “The art of creatinghandmadeaccessories is one of the Myanmar handicrafts. However, it is rare to conduct training across the country. I used to conduct this kind training courses in Rakhine State. In creating handmade items, we have to make detail to become a beautiful one. Creating handmade products help for mental peace while getting incomes for family livelihood. So, I conduct this course for the benefits of each people and society.”

The training course is conducted for those who are interested in creating fancy accessories for their livelihood. Making purses, key chains, bags for phones and fancy bags will be included during this course.29 trainees are attending the one-week course.
