






Factories and General Labour Laws Inspection Department under the Ministry of Labour opened skill enhancement training course on inspection of factories on Wednesday. During the opening ceremony at the Ministry, Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung said that the training course is opened to promote institutional and individual capacities of the officials in implementing departmental tasks effectively.
In Myanmar, The Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) activities have been carried out by the concerned ministries. The training aims to have understanding on the work implementation of those ministries by the inspectors. That’s why, experts from concerned Ministries are invited to conduct related subjects for the officials during this training.
Then, the Union Minister and attendees observed the measurement tools for occupational safety and health which are being used by the Factories and General Labour Laws Inspection department. 35 officials from the Department of Factories and General Labour Laws Inspection joined the training course with In House Training System starting from 8th to 15th November.
During the training course, experts will conduct ethic and duties of an inspector, inspection methods and processes, inspection on workplace accidents, utilization of measurement tools for occupational safety and health, workplaces hazardous and management, working processes of Occupational Safety and Health Committee, boiler safety, electrical safety, mining safety, construction safety and basic theories and standards for occupational health.
