Training completion ceremony: CBM Governor awarded outstanding prizes

The batch (4) training completion ceremony of adhering to the legal provisions regarding Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism was held at the Yangon Branch of Central Bank of Myanmar in the afternoon on January 13 with the attendance of the Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar Daw Than Than Swe.

At the ceremony, the CBM Governor gave a remark and awarded the first, second and third prize winners among 86 trainees and the permanent secretary handed the certificate of completing training. One of prize winners expressed words of thanks on behalf of the trainees.

The course is designed to help those interested in conducting foreign remittances and businesspersons to know and avoid the risk of loss related to AML/CFT in business and financial transfer matters and the law related to foreign exchange management.

For companies that want to carry out foreign remittance business, to obtain a certificate of completion of training required for applying for a license, and It is open to the public to know and understand the provisions of the Foreign Money Transfer Authorization Regulations, the Anti-Money Laundering Law, the Anti-Terrorism Law, and the Foreign Exchange Management Law, which must be known when conducting foreign remittance operations.
