TRAIN SERVICE SUSPENDED: MR TEMPORARILY SUSPENDS NO.3 UP AND NO.4 DOWN TRAINS

Mandalay Railway Station of Myanma Railways has temporarily suspended No.3 up and No.4 down passenger trains for Mandalay-Yangon trip as of 25th September, according to the In-charge of Mandalay Railway station.

To contain the spread of COVID-19, Mandalay Railway Station runs 3 routes of Mandalay-Yangon, Mandalay-Myitkyina and Mandalay-Lashio trains.

Out of them, No.3 up and No.4 down trains have been temporarily suspended.
Currently, only Mandalay-Myitkyina No.41 up and No. 42 down trains and Mandalay-Lashio No. 131 up and No.132 down trains will be operated, it is learnt.

There are 16 trips run by Mandalay Railway Station and currently, only two trains are being operated.

The hand wash basins have been installed at the Mandalay Railway Station during COVID-19 period and the passengers are allowed to enter the station only when they wear masks.

The body temperature screening and the travel history are being conducted to the passengers. If necessary, the repatriations are being made to the quarantine centers in line with the instruction of the Region Government.
