




The schedules of Pathein-Hinthata-Kyan Khin train of Myanmar Railway were temporarily suspended starting from 27th July due to the inundated rail track and experiencing erosions at main piles and abutments of some train bridges in Kyaungkone, Kan Gyi Daunt and Yaykyi Townships caused by heavy rains. The strength of rail track and bridges is inspected and carried out requiremnts daily.
According to the inspection on 19th August, the food has receded at Zayat Hla-Yay Kyi rail road section and the test run of RGC was carrid out and the road section was reopened at 9 Am on 19th August.
As of 20th August, the suspended the schedules of Pathein-Hinthata-Kyan Khin train were resumed from Pathein to Kyan Khin as Up passenger express train (181) and from Hinthata to Pathein as Down passenger express train (182). The regular Pathein-Hinthata-Kyan Khin train will be resumed for the whole trip on 21st August, it’s learnt.
