Traditional Sports: Myanmar Martial Arts Talent Show in Kachin State

Jointly organized by Kachin State Sports and Physical Education Department and Myanmar Martial Arts Sub-Committee, Myanmar Martial Arts Talent Show was held at the State football ground in Myitkyina on 6th February in observance of 78th Union Day.

Speaking on the occasion, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan underscored the value of Myanmar Martial Arts which represents Myanmar people and national spirit and urged the youths to learn Myanmar martial arts systematically for the sustainable development of the Myanmar martial arts and uplift the prestige of the nation.

Next, the students, state and nation’s representative Myanmar martial artists performs Myanmar Thaing basic and advanced bando, single and group spear and sword demonstration. Then, the Chief Minister presented cash awards to the Myanmar Martial Arts Sub-Committee and performers.
