Traditional Performing Arts: Wife of SAC Chairman enjoys the marionette drama contest

The “Yote Sone” marionette drama contest was staged at the Yin Kyay Hmu Yadanar hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture on Friday evening.
The wife of the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, together with wives of the Secretary, Joint Secretary and members of the State Administration Council and senior military officers, Union level officials, deputy ministers and judges enjoyed the “Pyin Nyar Shwe Ohe” marionette drama.
Yangon Region representing team competed for amateur level (first class) of the marionette drama contest, which depicted the traditional cultural heritage of Myanmar. Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition has been started since 1993, and the “Yote Sone” marionette drama contest was added in 1998 with “Vidhura” drama to preserve the Myanmar traditional marionette art.
