




Tanintharyi Region held the traditional performing arts competition for the 24th Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts central-level competition on Monday. Chief Minister U Myat Ko and many other officials ceremonially opened the competition at the town hall in Dawei Township.
In his speech, the Chief Minister stressed the objectives of the competition including to turn out new generations of performing artists and to preserve and safeguard cultural heritage and national characteristics and the national unity. He also urged the competitors to try the best in the central-level competition.
And, the Chief Minister and officials enjoyed the competition. It’s reported that the 109 competitors participated in the basic level, advanced level and amateur level competition.
