Traditional Festival: Thingyan of Commander-in-Chief Office’s families

Myanmar is celebrating traditional Thingyan Festival all across the country, warding off of the sins of the previous year and ushering in the New Year with auspiciousness.
On Saturday, families of the Commander-in-Chief Office (Army, Navy, Air) celebrated the traditional festival at the Zeyathiri Lawn in Nay Pyi Taw.
On behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chief of Staff (Army, Navy, Air) General Maung Maung Aye attended the opening ceremony, together with his wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice Admiral Zwe Win Myint, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, Union Ministers, senior military officers and their wives, Tatmadawmen and families as well as artists, Yein dance troupes and invited guests.
After formal opening of the ceremony, Yein dance troupes performed with the song “Myu Hmaung Wai Kin”, while the attendees sprinkled water to the dance troupe members and guests.
The attendees enjoyed the charity feasts, along with the entertainment by famous artists with the accompaniment of Myawady Music Troupe and Yein dance performances.
Moreover, Sein Pan and Magyi Yeik Water Pandals in the compound of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office commenced Thingyan celebrations joyously. There will be Thingyan Yein dance performance along with the songs and dances of vocalists and artists till the final day of Thingyan. Moreover, charity feasts will be served to the festive comers.
