Chairman of the Central Committee on Ensuring Smooth Flow of Trade and Goods Member of the State Administration Council Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo presided over the Committee meeting 2/2023 in Nay Pyi Taw.

In this meeting, the Union Minister noted that systematic arrangements are being made to ensure adequate fuel at the fuel stations and supply fuel stocks. The Committee also supervises to combat illegal fuel trade. Also, it focused on practical measures for fuel import, storage, and distribution sectors and scrutinized whether the imported fuel met the quality standards.

Similarly, adequate cooking oil was distributed to the regions and states, including Nay Pyi Taw, to ensure a stable market and prices. Plans are underway to receive the export earnings from the remaining companies fully. Effective measures were taken to promote the export volumes of farm products.

The Committee needs to supervise the repatriation of export earnings in line with fixed procedures, and it will prioritize the import of raw materials for the industrial zones that produce export products. The Union Minister also highlighted the cooperation with the UMFCCI, its brother associations, and relevant organizations. And, members of the Committee made sector-wise discussions and the Union Minister coordinated the discussions.
