Toyota unveils hydrogen hybrid

Toyota Motor has unveiled its hybrid car with motor and hydrogen-powered engine that it says emits almost no carbon dioxide. Toyota presented the vehicle at the Fuji Speedway racetrack in central Japan. The carmaker already makes liquid hydrogen-powered cars for racing. Bu, the company said the hybrid can run 25 percent further on a single hydrogen refill, reaching 250 kilometers and accelerate faster.

Toyota is planning to test the model on public roads overseas from next spring before putting it on the market.
