Toyota shareholders greenlight all 6 company proposals

Toyota held its shareholders’ meeting at its Aichi Prefecture headquarters on Thursday with 6,700 attendees. During the meeting, the stockholders have approved all six of the automaker’s proposals, including one making external directors account for half of the board members.

Moreover, the executives stressed the need for active discussions at the board as the auto industry goes through a major transformation. The chairman also noted that the company has been taking active steps to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
