Tourist Train Journey offers Winter Travel Experience

The Tourist Eastern Express train service has commenced operations. The inaugural journey departed from Ankara, making its first stop in Erzincan, followed by Erzurum, en route to its final destination in Kars.

The service, spanning a 365-kilometer route, is one of the world’s most notable long-distance train journeys.

The service will operate 60 trips in total (30 outbound and 30 inbound) between Ankara and Kars until March 2, 2025, with an expected passenger count of 12,000.
