Tourism Sector: Union Minister meets with Familiarization Trip persons

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khaing on Wednesday afternoon met with persons participating in the Myanmar-China Tourism Promotion Familiarization Trip (FAM Trip).

In the meeting, the Union Minister expressed her belief that the persons in the FAM Trip will enjoy the beautiful destinations of Myanmar. Nay Pyi Taw is the administrative capital of Myanmar and is a central tourist destination that can be easily visited by domestic and foreign tourists.

In Nay Pyi Taw, there are 38 tourist attractions including Maravijaya Buddha image, the World's Highest Sitting Marble Buddha image in the world. The Union Minister also requested the FAM Trip persons to the true situation of Myanmar and the fact that it is a good travel destination.

And, Mr. David Liu, Chairman participating in this FAM Trip said that the news that they heard in China that could affect Myanmar's image was found to be fake news. Myanmar is attractive and rich in natural resources. The current situation of Myanmar during this trip is being broadcast live in Chinese media and will be widely broadcasted, the Chairman added.

And, the Union Minister presented memorable gifts to those participating in this Familiarization Trip and hosted a dinner for them. Those participating in this Familiarization Trip will also visit Nay Pyi Taw, Bagan and Mandalay, it’s reported.
