Tourism Sector in Rakhine: Over 96,000 travelers visited Ngapali Beach in 2022

In 2022, more than 96,000 foreign and local travelers visited the Ngapali Beach in Thandwe Township, Rakhine State. The number of local and foreign travelers to the Ngapali Beach is up to 2.37 times in 2022 if compared to the number in 2021, according to an official.

U Tin Htun Aung, Director, Directorate of Hotels and Tourism(Rakhine), said " In 2022, more than 92,000 local travelers and over 3,900 foreign travelers visited the Ngapali Beach. The Beach attracted around 600 visitors a day mostly on weekends. Currently, at the Beach, there are about 55 hotels giving services. In 2022, the number of visitors increased by 2.37 times than the number in 2021 and we reckon that there will be more travelers at the Beach in the coming Thingyan period."

Ngapali Beach is one of the popular beaches in Myanmar and most of the travelers visit the Beach during holidays to relax and swim.
