Tourism Promotion: Russian Speaking Class & safety protocol certificates

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism opened a Russian Speaking Class in Yangon. The opening ceremony was held at Inya Lake Hotel on Saturday, in conjunction with the presenting of recognition certificates for health and safety protocol.
Union Minister Dr Htay Aung gave an opening speech, saying that the ministry is making efforts to achieve the promising Russian tourism market. Plans are underway to participate in the Tourism Exhibition to be held in Moscow of Russia in March 2023.
He added that the Russian Speaking Classes will also be opened in Mandalay and Pyin Oo Lwin. The Union Minister later proceeded to Novotel Hotel, and encouraged the vaccination of booster dose to over 120 staff from hotel industry.
The Union Minister later met with the Chairmen of Myanmar Tourism Federation, and Myanmar-China Tourism Development Committee, and discussed matters on promoting China tourism market.
On Sunday, the Union Minister visited Yangon International Airport and discussed matters for smooth process of arrival and departure of tourists, data collecting for tourists arrival, safety measures for staff and tourists and increased operation of airlines in coming open season.
The Union Minister later inspected the immigration counters, security measures and health screening as well as distribution of tourism promotion pamphlets and maps at the Information Counter.
