Tourism Promotion: MOHT Union Minister met hoteliers in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung met with the hoteliers and officials from the hotel and tourism industry on Friday.

The Union Minister said there are 99 hotels and guesthouses with over 6,000 rooms in Nay Pyi Taw and are hosting the international events and meetings as well as the state level events in a grand manner. He pointed out that it is needed become the international standard hotels since there are promising future for increase arrival of foreign tourists due to the existence of the international airport.

He called for cooperation of all concerned persons for cleaning and beautifying of the hotel areas. The officials reported on the work implementations on cleanliness and beautifying tasks, illuminating colourful lights and plans to make cooperation by the ministry. The Union Minister and party later inspected the organic farm, being planted in the Mingala Thiri Hotel compound.
