







The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is conducting training for human resource development in tourism industry.
On Sunday, Chinese Speaking Class was opened for the staff from hotels and tourism industry in Bagan. Over 300 trainees from hotels and guest houses, the restaurant association, tour guide association, transport association, souvenir shops, the Department of Archaeology and National Museum, Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Bagan Branch) and Lacquerware College are attending the Chinese Speaking Class.
Union Minister Dr Htay Aung attended the opening ceremony and made a speech, saying that China tourism market has become a driving force for the global outbound tourism market since 2012, and some 155 million Chinese tourists are travelling around the world in 2019.
Despite the numbers decreased, the Chinese outbound tourism market is expected to be back in normalcy in 2024. Also in Myanmar, Chinese tourism market the most promising one, and tourists from China are topped among the arrival of foreign tourists in the country.
The Union Minister urged the trainees to try their best in learning the speaking lessons. It was followed by presenting of the certificates of honour to those who participate in the 7th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, and the National Level Recognition Certificates to 12 hotels in Bagan under the Enchanting Myanmar Health and Safety Protocol. Moreover, COVID-19 booster doses were provided to the staff from the hotels in Bagan.
