




Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has been making efforts for tourism industry development in the country. On September 28, Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Htay Aung visited the Royal Palace Hotel in Bagan, inspected the Chinese speaking training and held talks with trainees who are governmental departmental officials and tourist guides.
On September 29, at the Aureum Palace Hotel, the Union Minister received representatives of the Thailand’s Best International Travels & Agency and Channel-5 television network. This meeting focused on projects for Myanmar's tourism development, arrangements for more Thai tourists to visit Bagan and Mandalay and the conditions that will continue to be implemented.
After the meeting, they visited the Nan Myint Tower. The Union Minister also visited the Bagan Information Training Center (BITC) and inspected work processes including the Virtual Reality Tour programme.
At the Heritage Bagan Hotel, he inspected the Chinese speaking training. The Union Minister virtually held talks with the UMFCCI Chairman to attract more Russian tourists to Myanmar and the Myanmar-Russia tourism cooperation.
Also, at the Mingalar Mandalay Hotel, the Union Minister met with concerned officials for tourism development activities in Mandalay and Bagan. On September 30, in Pyin Oo Lwin, the Union Minister inspected the Russian speaking training, held talks with trainees and stressed that there will be flights between Myanmar and Russia and it is necessary to work hard to promote tourism.
The Union Minister also visited the Shwe Nan Htike Hotel and the historic Shwe San Eain Hotel.
