Tourism Industry: Promote destinations in Shan State

According to an official of Hotels and Tourism Directorate, the government will be carried out to promote the travel destinations in Shan State in coming travel season of October.

There are a total of 447 hotels, motels and guest houses, 79 travel agency companies and 781 tour guides in Shan State. The government has promoted the travel destinations in Shan State which were invited famous singers in last Thingyan Festival.

Starting from the October, the Cherry blossom festival, Thadingyut festival and Taunggyi Tazaungdaing traditional hot-air balloon festival will be held to promote the tourism industry in Shan State. The Tazaungdaing festival will resume in November this year after 3 years hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Also the local and ethnic foods will be selling during the festival period.
