Tourism Industry: Plan to establish Vocational Training School

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is planning to establish the State Level Vocational Training School in order to nurture human resources essential for Hotels and Tourism sector.

On Wednesday, a pre-coordination meeting for establishment of the school took place in the Ministry. Union Minister Dr. ThetThetKhaing attended the meeting and made a speech. The meeting discussed the purposes of establishing the State Level Hotels and Tourism Vocational Training School and future plans.

Upon the reports, the Union Minister coordinated the requirement and gave closing speech.   As per the decisions made at the Central Committee on National Tourism Development meeting 1/2024, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is making arrangements to establish the state level training school, offering Degrees and Diplomas for the subjects of hospitalities and tourism.

Establishing of new training school is to provide vocational education for those who are in workplaces without completing their basic education level and for those who obtain the degrees. Arrangements for the school curriculums will be made to meet the ASEAN level standard and National Qualification Framework of the Ministry of Education.  Depending on the outcomes of this meeting, a workshop will be conducted for the establishment of the training school.
