Tourism Industry: Myanmar-Russia tourism promotion coordination meeting

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Aung Thaw attended a meeting on the Myanmar-Russia tourism promotion coordination meeting on Thursday.

In this meeting at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw, the Union Minister stressed the need to quickly implement the results of previous meetings. A work team will be comprised of the government and private companies to plan a Familiarization Trip-FAM for a group which is comprised of the Russian travel agencies, media and travel enthusiasts.

The ministry will also coordinate with related ministries and organizations on airlines and the use of money for easy entry of Russian tourists. He called on hotel and tourism associations to submit accurate plans for FAM trips. This meeting continued with discussions on plans in order to attract more Russian tourists.
