Tourism Industry: Domestic tourism survey collection to start on Dec. 30

Aiming to widely spread the tourism statistic research conducted by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism among concerned ministries, organizations and the public and for the development of the country’s tourism sector based on research, an opening ceremony on tourism survey collection took place at the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

During the opening remarks, Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khaing said that the survey will be collected about purposes for choosing Myanmar as destination site by foreign tourists, opinion on stay, expenditure and services and their suggestions for the development of tourism sector of Myanmar.

She also added that local tourism survey will be collected in tourist destination sites of 19 townships including Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay at the entrance/exit and border gates and railway stations. She urged all the staff to put efforts for collecting the survey to get accurate statistic and called for sector wise cooperation for the development of tourism sector of the country.

It is reported that the domestic tourism survey collection will start on the 30th of December.
