Tourism Development: Research Project for tourism development

A closing ceremony of Tourism Research Project, being implemented by Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund 2021, was held in Nay Pyi Taw on 30th March.

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Aung Thaw attended the ceremony, and made a speech. He said the project has been implemented for one and a half year, and it benefited for tourism development as it provides the spending volume and average stay of tourists.

Since the Ministry is also compiling the guest list of local and foreign tourists, he called for cooperation of all concerned persons to turn out the accurate data. He stressed the need to continue the data collection process for tourism development.

At present, the Establishment of Bakery & Pastry Training for the Vulnerable Persons Project is being implemented with the use of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund 2022. Three more projects have also been proposed for 2023.
