









Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn visited Myanma Radio and Television in Yangon on Friday to oversee the work undertakings.
First, the Union Minister, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Work Committee for Observing the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 5th National Festival, accepted the 15 million kyat, contributed by the Trusty Pay Company. The donated cash will be used for the Mascots to be used during the upcoming 5th National Sports Festival.
The Union Minister then took tour of MRTV, observing the program shootings, completed installation of lighting equipment, the proposed venue for the Interim Broadcasting Council, and renovation of Borderless Broadcast Co,. Ltd Office as well as the children program.
At night, the Union Minister enjoyed the fund raising music concert for the rehabilitation of flood hit areas at the National Theatre, organized by Myanmar Music Association (Central). Prior to the concert, a video clip on “Overcoming the natural disaster by joining hands with loving kindness”. Famous vocalists performed the audience with the accompaniment of Immortal Band.
The audience made cash donation during the concert for rehabilitation of flood hit areas. Among the audience were Yangon Region Chief Minister and regional ministers, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar, In-charge of China Cultural Center, officials from the related organizations.
The music concert was broadcast live on various channels of MRTV platform and social media networks, with repeat broadcast in the coming days.
